Helpful but also realistic

Any additional comments?

I liked this book felt realistic which is a nice change. It is for everyday people, not just people who have 10 hours free a day to chant and do yoga on a mountain top ;)

Helpful and realistic. Good for letting go of various issues in life and getting more positivity to surround you.

Get out of your own head

Have you listened to any of Sorrel Brigman’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No. I love the way the author punctuated every major point with a quote from a notable personality though.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The section about staying in the moment is one I found very helpful. I tend to worry about things I can’t control and try to achieve perfection. You cannot control everything and it’s ok. Also, the book also stressed the importance of living for yourself, being yourself and keeping away from comparing yourself to other. I used to embarrass my best friend through high school without meaning to because her parents kept comparing us and judging her based on the things I did. I felt guilty for making her feel bad and it caused a few awkward moments.

Any additional comments?

I remember the first time I had to do a public debate. It was for a French class. Even though I was well prepared, I got on stage and froze up. I didn’t stop feeling embarrassed subconsciously till I gave a valedictorian speech and got a standing ovation. A significant change in temperament occurred because every time I was worried about facing a crowd, I found myself replaying the French debacle repeatedly. Until I came full circle with another awesome speech, I didn’t have a new image to replay. The book was very right in that until we identified the underlying thoughts behind our worries and embarrassments, we would keep dwelling in the past.

I’m my own worst critic. Even when everyone says I did a good job, I can’t stop myself from feeling like I could have done better. I appreciate that the author took time to break down these real-life situations and helped me better understand that I am master of my own destiny and the future is less scary when we let go of the past and stop regretting our decisions.

Who we are is the product of all our decisions, both good and bad and until you let go of clichés and socially acceptable concepts, then can you fulfil your own potential without the burdens of worry, embarrassment and regret holding you back.

This is a very helpful and practical guide for dealing with serious issues that bothers most people. I wholly recommend it to everyone.

Feeling so much better

Any additional comments?

I don't want to talk about myself and my own issues too much as they are obviously private but i will say i found this a very useful (and one section i would go as far as saying life changing) book.

Very helpful!

What did you love best about Let Go of Worry, Embarrassment and Regret?

I liked the fact that it was so practical. It offers real life solutions to real life problems. It was a reminder for me to let go of things in the past and just face the new days as they come. One thing I did after reading the book was go sign up for salsa classes. One of my worst memories was falling in High school during a group dancing class, I really want to replace it with happier memories.

What about Sorrel Brigman’s performance did you like?

Sorrel Brigman's performance was very natural and professional. Great job.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes it was. I actually finished it in two long stretches that were interrupted by a phone call. Even while taking notes, it was fun to listen to.

Any additional comments?

One thing I learnt from the book is not to be so hard on myself when I make mistakes. Loving myself more takes effort. I didn't grow up being ok with average and I guess now, I have to accept that I can't control everything in my life at work and also accept that I have done my best. Regret is toxic and when it stays in the mind too much, it affects our confidence. This book was a breath of fresh air and I can safely say I will try as many tips as possible from this book and improve my life. You should listen to this. It's going to change your life.

Glad I read a book that makes this much sense

Any additional comments?

Although I did not have one big ISSUE to let go of, I just had a general slightly negative feeling at time and knew I had to address it. I tried a lot of books but this is the only one that actually helped.

Before buying and reading to this phenomenal book, handling my stress was one of the most difficult things to do in my life. Yet we can't stay without it. To experience daily life is to experience your stress. Writer describes how stress isn't so much what happens, but the way responds to it does makes a difference. Sometimes lifestyle brings us a curveball, but we have the natural capability to handle with any detour in our daily working life. We all have the ability within us to start the doorway to a better lifestyle. You have the option to encourage yourself. No one can do that for you.

I have never listned to any audio book with such consistency and focus before. The way author has narrated, amazing tips and techniques that power each of the actions to better health and pleasure is really fascinating. Take what suits for you and integrate these simple actions into your daily lifestyle. This guide works as a banking center of sources, helping you add to your tool kit so you can move forward from any current limitations and make life you have always wanted.
Very effective, efficient and worth paying for book--- narrated by the author in a very warm, friendly and sensible way for everyone. This is about linking and understanding the benefits of the simple things and stuff in your life. Time, love, motivation & encouragement also tells us that it’s not just about taking from others. All we have to do is start giving away. In this way we’ll feel much relaxed and better than before.

Very Effective audible, leaves a mark on complete life. Life is short so always be happy, take care of your parents, friends and family. Change your life for a better tomorrow.

Brilliant!

If you could sum up Let Go of Worry, Embarrassment, and Regret in three words, what would they be?

Helpful, positive, and insightful.

Any additional comments?

This book is all about letting go of things that hold you back from enjoying life. It teaches you how to completely let go of worry, say No to embarrassment, and obliterate regret. By letting go of these 3 things you can fully live in the present without torturing yourself by "rerunning" embarrassing moments or dwelling on things you wish you hadn't done. The section on worry is great for learning how to free yourself from anxiety and start doing things you've been avoiding or you've been too scared to try.

I absolutely love the philosophy behind this book. Leading a life full of worry, embarrassment, and regret is no way to live. This book is all about letting go of the things that hold you back from enjoying your life as well as negative events that happened in your past. Life is too short to dwell on the past or fear the future!
