Substance made simple

What did you love best about Cognitive Behavior Therapy?

The best part is that it REALLY WORKS!! The way you think is absolutely impacted, which in turn impacts the way you live and the way you experience living. You will not regret buying this book. In addition to being great for individuals, I can also imagine using this strategy in schools with students and in coaching relationships in addition to counseling.

Have you listened to any of Michael Hatak’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Michael Hatak has done a great Job the explanations were very good and neat performance

This book is just wonderful. You can read it in a day or two and start implementing its practices right away. Excellent resource book for all health psychologists. This book will be a staple reference book on my shelf. Great source of a practical strategies that are empirically sound.

A great listen!

This is a great listen for someone who's thoughts get the best of them and have problems "over thinking" and even those who drive themselves to panic attacks. This audio gives real insight to get over it and offers real help solutions.

Genuinely helpful.

What did you like most about Cognitive Behavior Therapy?

I judge books and workbooks in this style by seeing if they measure up to the excellent therapy in my own history. I am pleased to say that this book delivers! I'm very fond of CBT work and found this book very helpful, sound, and still quite approachable. This is a great resource.

What about Michael Hatak’s performance did you like?

I really liked the performance.

This book has changed my life.

Cognitive Behavior Therapy is a quality guide that takes you from the beginnings of what CBT is and its challenges, through to how and why it's effective treatment for all sorts of disorders. Each of which are stemmed from a negative thinking or belief process.

I was particularly interested in the sections dealing with eating disorders. The author does a fantastic job showing you exactly how to learn to face your negative behaviors, and over time flip them positive, or less negative, depending on how you look at it.
