Since you were old enough to hold a job, you've been hoodwinked to believe that wealth can be created by blindly trusting in the uncontrollable and unpredictable markets: the housing market, the stock market, and the job market. I call this soul-sucking, dream-stealing dogma "The Slowlane" - an impotent financial gamble that dubiously promises wealth in a wheelchair. For those who don't want a lifetime subscription to "settle-for-less", there is an alternative.

Money - investing, personal finance, and business decisions - is typically taught as a math-based field, where data and formulas tell us exactly what to do. But in the real world people don’t make financial decisions on a spreadsheet. They make them at the dinner table, or in a meeting room, where personal history, your own unique view of the world, ego, pride, marketing, and odd incentives are scrambled together. In The Psychology of Money, award-winning author Morgan Housel shares 19 short stories exploring the strange ways people think about money.

What makes the difference between those superheroes and “mere mortals”? More importantly, can the “mortals” acquire those superpowers, or should they accept that they'll never be able to permanently change their lives?

Present moment awareness is an essential ingredient in life if one expects to experience any degree of authentic peace and contentment. It has been acknowledged for centuries as the cornerstone of spiritual awakening in all traditions of Eastern thought. In the West, however, it is still a relatively unrecognized concept for living. The Western mind is always restless, never content with the moment.

Great audiobook/ possibly better than the kindle
I enjoy the kindle version of this book and was excited to see the audiobook version come out as well (the kindle version has been out for several weeks). While I usually buy either the audio or the kindle version of a book, this is one of the exceptions where it might make sense to own both. I like to read 'a thought a day' books on various topics, but I generally start a bunch of them, and only keep up with a very few. I like the audiobook as it allows me to quickly listen to today's thought while I'm driving into work. I like having the kindle version as well, as there have been a few times where I wanted to highlight something, and while you can do that in the audiobook, I never find those bookmarks useful, whereas I reference the kindle ones often. All in all, a great book. It's pretty straightforward, if you are looking for a 'thought a day' type of book, and are interested in the topic of self-discipline, this is a great choice.

Can't Say Enough Good Things About This Book!
I have dozens of audio books & I would say this is one of my top 5 favorites. I enjoy going back to a book & being able to replay & get high value. This book is a once a year must. No matter where u start it's a great listen from beginning to end. It's not a "story", it's a compilation of "life hacks" to live life on a "higher" level if not more efficient level .The advice is not only practical, it's spot on & can apply to anyone. Highly recommend.

Great audio book
The audio book of 365 Days With Self-Discipline offers advice and tips that we can utilize to achieve our goals today. Whether it’s saving money, exercising, or productivity. Meadows offers simple yet effective advice that inspires us to take immediate action. We tend to overanalyze situations, including our goals, which often leads to self-doubt and delays. Meadows encourages listeners or readers to do something small each day because it’s the small things that eventually add up.
I enjoyed this audiobook. I noticed that there were quotes for each day and I really liked it.
Thank you Meadow for giving me the opportunity to listen your audiobook freely.
