Publisher's summary

We're the D'Artigo sisters: Half-human, half-Faerie, we are savvy - and sexy - operatives for the Otherworld Intelligence Agency. But our mixed-blood heritage short-circuits our talents at all the wrong times. My sister Delilah shapeshifts into a tabby cat whenever she's stressed. Menolly's a vampire who is still trying to get the hang of being undead. And me? I'm Camille - a wicked-good witch. Except my magic is as unpredictable as the weather, which my enemies are about to find out the hard way.

At the Wayfarer Inn, a portal to Otherworld and the local hangout for humans and beasties alike, a fellow operative, Jocko, has been murdered. Every clue points to Shadow Wing, the soul-munching, badass leader of the Subterranean Realms. He has made it clear that he aims to raze humankind to the ground. Our assignment: Keep Shadow Wing and his minions from creeping into Earth via the Wayfarer. The demons figure they're in like Flynn. After all, with only my bumbling sisters and me standi g in the way, how can they miss? But we've got a secret for them: Faulty wiring or not, nobody kicks ass like the D'Artigo girls.

Shallow

This book had a promising concept and I am sorry the author took it in this direction. I do not think I will be purchasing the other novels in the series. It seemed like she was more focused on describing the panties the characters were wearing rather than developing the story and keeping the reader interested.

Loved this book!

I'm new to this series and so happy I found it! It was interesting right from the start. It not only had sexy parts, but also ones that made me laugh out loud or anxious to see what was about to happen next. I will definitely be listening to the rest of the series.

Fun series that gets better and better

I found the dialogue in the first two books in this series to be down right laughable at times, and yet, I WAS laughing, so I count that as entertainment! "One things for sure," the author gets better with book 3, and I hope to be able to say the same with the rest of the installments. The main characters are charming and sweetly sentimental about each other, which is nice, and the collection of supes (such as a dragon, a house sprite, an incubus, etc.,) add to the adventure. Looking for something silly and fun? You found it!

Really its 3.5 Stars

I read the reviews on this book so I was a bit skeptical. The story line is gripping, and I do want to see what happens in the next book. With that said this books writing is a bit choppy, at one moment the author is poetic and then whip lashes into the drama. The reader, while she has a very pretty voice, some what sing song, she reads very dreamily even in the action scenes, which is a bit off putting. I hope this helps.

This was a fantastic book!!!

This is a great begining to a hopefully equally great series. The narrator did a saw some job with all the different characters and it was hard to, as they say, put the book down. If your a sci-fi/fantasy or paranormal fan you will love this book. It reminds me of the Sookie series.

otherworld, book 1 witchling

Good book with lots of potential!! Good story line with lots of action and magical fun. Great characters that you really feel like you could be friends with. But I did not really care for the narrator.

Captivating First Book

If you love authors like Charlaine Harrison, Laurell K Hamilton and Kim Harrison you will love the universe that this author creates. The characters are intriguing and more complicated than they first seem to be. The plot will have you laughing, gasping, sitting on the edge of your seat and have you begging for more. I found myself very sleep deprived until I finished listening haha. I can not wait for the other books in this series.
