Great story, what's with the surfer dude?

I've heard this narrator do other books and he's been good, but he single handedly undermines this entire recording. One of the main protagonists is awkwardly voiced as a 1980s surfer dude, but it doesn't fit his character at all. In top of the, there are some other weird choices or irritating ones, but the surfer dude is the worst. Talk about breaking the suspension of disbelief.

Will it take your breath away?

Where does Warbreaker rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Hard to say. Not a top ten, but certainly worth a listen. Sometimes I wait for another book to be released, and stumbles upon some other book that turns out to be better than I expected. This was one of those for me.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Both the sisters. Simply because they are the ones who changes most during the story. Also liked a certain diety who did not take himself to seriously.

Have you listened to any of James Yaegashi’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I am uncertain if i have heard him before. James performes well enough. He gives each character a different voice. Most are good, some are passable, and one I found downright annoying. I guess I just dissagreed with James about how that character should sound. Anyway, gave him 4 out of 5.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Some things can make you laugh, and there are elements in the story that may make some peoples lip to shiver, but I don`t think it`s that kind of book for most people.

Any additional comments?

Waiting for that great book to come out? Need something else to pass your time before that? Then I recomend this book. If Brandon S. writes a sequel, i will most likely read it.
