Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I HONESTLY LOVED IT!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOOOHOOOO! NEW SERIES FOR ME!!!
Wendy is trying to get married, but all sorts of hi-jinks prevail and she ends up having to help! This little book is laugh out loud funny, quirky, and very satire-ish....I enjoyed i even though I have not listened to 1-4....and YES I will be buying them all, good thing I already have 4...you can ease right into this story with no background info...and you will LOVE Wendy!!!
HIGHLY RECOMMEND! GREAT NARRATION, STORY, ALL OF IT!

Stars: Overall 5 Narration 5 Story 5
First off – you don’t have to have read / listened to the earlier titles in this series (although for pure fun – you’ll want to). You don’t want to approach this title like anything out there: it’s a mystery of sorts, a romance in the snarkiest sense of the word, and always over the top in humor. Be warned – if you haven’t a sense of humor – this is not the series for you.
Wendy and her new husband are finally taking their honeymoon trip in Vulgaria. Of course, Wendy needs for Roger to understand that seven months pregnant is NOT a time when she wants to deal with murders, mobsters or weirdness. Perhaps they shouldn’t have checked into the Van Helsing Resort and Spa?
Oh – the hits just keep on coming! Both Wendy and Roger are attempting to clean up their language so as not to barrage or disturb ‘Little Roger”, but when the actual reasons for choosing that particular resort come to light- all bets are off. Toss in a BFF in the form of Kit, vampires, a dead ex-husband, mobsters and a Vatican investigations team and the plot just spins out in ever widening circles to encompass the multiple characters and their competing agendas.
Narration by Laura Jennings is spectacular – I can’t imagine keeping all of the characters and voices straight, let alone not burst into giggles with the sheer absurdity of the many elements of the plot. Silkstone never loses the joy that Wendy brings – with her offbeat attempts at optimism and courage against formidable odds, and Jennings keeps that tone fresh and new. Even in Wendy’s less “charitable’ or ‘friendly’ hormone-infused moments. A truly fun installment in a wonderfully quirky series.
I received an audiobook copy of the title from the author for purpose of honest review. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own responsibility.
