Publisher's summary

Scanguards vampire and master of mind control Thomas has mentored newbie vampire Eddie for over a year - and been in love with him for just as long. But he believes that his love will never be reciprocated.

While patrolling San Francisco for evil vampires, Eddie kisses Thomas as a diversionary tactic and is shaken to the core by his reaction. He's terrified of his sexual attraction to his mentor and afraid that moving forward and giving in to his desires will destroy the relationship they have.

When hurt and disappointment about Eddie's inability to commit leads Thomas onto a dark path that spells destruction for all those he loves, only Eddie can pull him back from the brink of eternal darkness. But does Eddie have the courage to face his true feelings in time to save the man who's meant for him?

YOU JUST CAN'T LOCK-UP LOVE.... THANKFULLY

Well for all of us Scanguards fans we knew this book was eventually going to get written but for those of you who don't like to listen to two sexy, handsome, thoughtful Vampires and their M/M love story, with plenty of hot action, then maybe skip this one (which could be a stand alone listen) and wait for book 9.

Thomas has loved Eddie since he first met him but Eddie is confused about his mixed up feelings and is very much 'in the closet' about it and thinks this all happened when he was changed into a Vampire because it did 'something' to his sexuality. It's a touching romance that suddenly goes wrong when an old enemy/lover of Thomas' surfaces again and brings out the dark side in Thomas and wants his help for world domination over all Vampires.

There's flashbacks to Thomas's past, sexual tension, sizzling sex scenes, action, murder, and danger when all the Scanguards are threatened but the main storyline is that of Thomas and Eddie. TF has written a very enjoyable and touching story about Thomas' love for Eddie and Eddie's mental confusion and anguish that he has to go through before he can finally come to terms with, and act on, his true feelings for Thomas.

Worth a credit? For me, being a Scanguards fan, this was a well paced, emotional and a natural conclusion to their friendship and I'm so happy that they've finally got their HEA ending - so YES very creditworthy. Now bring on Caine's story Ms Folsom??

Go Thomas and Eddie!!!

So glad I chose this as the first audiobook of the series to listen to. Thomas is my favorite character and I was so happy he got his own story.

Thomas finally finds true love

Would you listen to Thomas's Choice again? Why?

Yes, I love this whole series. I love how all the characters are inclusive and no one is left out.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Thomas's Choice?

The Garage scene is the most memorable, because even though Eddie denies his feeling for Thomas, his actions say otherwise.

Which scene was your favorite?

When Yvette gets a baby to raise, and they have the baby shower for her.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

True love is revealed.

Any additional comments?

Great series. I like all of Tina Folsom's books

Desire, Hope and yes, Love

When I first read Samson Lovely Mortal and read that there was a gay member of the inner circle, I was curious as to whether Thomas would get his moment to shine (especially after the heartache he went through). So imagine my surprise, relief and happiness when I heard that Ms. Folsom was giving him his own story. Thomas and Eddie’s story was beautifully done. The conflicts both characters had to endure to find their HEA was both realistic and enduring.

Eddie is a young adult male who is struggling with his ever growing desire for Thomas. All his life he felt as if he was a straight man who was just picky about his choice of female companionship. Believing something must have happened to him upon his change, he refuses to submit to his feelings for Thomas and his secret desires. Thomas, believing Eddie is a heterosexual male, suppresses his longing for him. Thomas knows he will never have Eddie but that doesn’t stop him from being his mentor, roommate and friend. That is until one dark night while both Eddie and Thomas are on patrol.

Ms. Folsom doesn’t rush Eddie awakening and his understanding of his feelings for Thomas. She shows his conflict that he faces within, as well as his realization of the truth. The romance scenes are exotic and hot, but this can be sound about all of the Scanguard books. The scenes that were described aren’t anything that hasn’t been done before, only this time between m/m. I like Eric’s voice. I miss Kevin but I’m starting to appreciate Eric’s baritone voice as well.

I love a gay love story!

Bravo to Tina Folsom for writing gay characters into her Scanguards Vampires series, and double bravo for actually dedicating a whole book to a gay love story!

We've known for some time that Thomas holds a flame for young Padawan, Eddie. And while I was hopeful that we'd hear their story, I wasn't going to hold my breath. So when I saw there was finally a Thomas-Eddie story out there, I actually skipped 2 books in the series because I was so excited for this one. Totally worth it!

Writing a gay romance is probably a fine line to walk as a traditionally heterosexual author since you can't really anticipate how readers will react, and what they can handle, but I think Ms. Folsom navigated through it beautifully. I especially appreciated that Eddie sort of came into his gayness through the course of the story, which I think may be what happens for a lot of people who come out later in life. It added a lot of realness to the story, and in some ways, kind of makes this one the sweetest of all. You really feel for Thomas, who's resigned himself to never having his feelings reciprocated, but you also feel for Eddie, who starts having real feelings for Thomas, but is so confused about the whole thing.

Obviously there is gay sex involved, so if that's a problem, turn back now. But really, that just means more male pronouns, more BJs and more anal sex, which come up in a ton of regular M-F erotic novels anyways, so unless you have a problem with homosexuality on principle, this novel isn't any racier or more shocking than any other book in this series.

If you enjoy this series and are cool with boy-boy love, totally worth a credit.

As a side note, I actually liked the previous narrator for the series, but not mad about Eric G. Dove taking over the reins. He has a kind of gruff but young voice that I like, and he did a good job of differentiating between Thomas and Eddie.

AMAZING!!!!!!

This was my first m/m romance, and I wasn't sure how I'd react to it, but I'm so glad I took this chance. Thomas and Eddie are, by far, my favorite couple of the series. They give everything they are to conquer their demons and doubts. They jump through fire, metaphorically speaking, to save their love for one another. My favorite scene was when Eddie made his announcement over the loudspeaker. It may have taken a while to get the courage to do it, but he did manage it. He's a fictional character and yet I felt so proud of him in that moment. Thomas is another male with more heart than one man can handle sometimes. He literally went all out to win Eddie. He did everything he could to suppress his desires. In the end, his love and Eddie's insistence won. I loved going on this journey. Well done to the author!

As always, the narrator did a great job, though I do wish he wouldn't make all the female characters sound so cliche. He makes them all sound like southern bells. The men he performs better, though I think he makes a lot of them sound like the are still back in the 17 and 1800s. Other than that, he did great. I look forward to the next book.
