Takes me back to my old Pulp and Gothic Stories

What made the experience of listening to The Wild Hunt the most enjoyable?

Going into "Ghost Girl: The Wild Hunt" I knew some about it, but didn't know enough, so everything was a nice surprise. Honestly, I have to say I liked it a lot. The way the story played out make me think of the old Pulp Stories from the 20s to the many Gothic paperbacks that I've read. Two things that I even write myself and enjoy to read. I think that's why I liked this book so much.
It's hard not too especially, when you have the Holzer family involved. It's a mix of terror, excitement, and if anyone finds this boring, then they weren't listening to the same program. I know my genres like this and this "Ghost Gal" series is something I want to see more of. After listening to it, I'm going to have to pick up a hard copy! The story flows nicely, it involves a wicked ghost named "The Slaugh," and it's a good read that is fast paced. I think that's what made it's good, it gets to the point, but also doesn't feel too rushed either. It's about a family of ghost hunters, that are might fight a powerful Scottish legend.
So in other words, honestly surprised and happy to have gotten the chance to listen to the book. It might helped that I was listening to the story on a foggy Monday afternoon. Though the book gives you enough details that you could listen to it on a sunny day.

Who was your favorite character and why?

It's hard to pick one favorite character. I didn't know that Hans Holzer was going to get to play a part in the book, that was a surprise (A good one). The Slaugh was kind of terrifying , but written with great detail that he was a good character. Of course Alexandra Holzer was another favorite character, she is after all our Ghost Gal.

What about Gene Blake’s performance did you like?

Gene Blake's performance was pretty good. He was good at switching back and forth to accents (especially the Slaugh) and his voice had enough emotion when needed. This was my first time listening to anything read by Blake and I would do it again.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

The words that would describe my reactions to the book:
Terrified (The beginning got me)
Of course wanting more.

Any additional comments?

I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a creepy, yet exciting tale that has an excellent reader. I would also say that buy this version too and buy yourself one you can read too.
