Fun story

What a fun and wild ride. Plenty of action and sex to go around. The narrator did a great job with all the voices. Can't wait for more. Highly recommended.

first book by audible and would try more very nice to listen and do other things. the book was awesome.

A great breath of fresh air has just blown my mind

The premise is nothing new bad ass girl gets thrown into a male dominant world and has to struggle to keep up with the boys.
Oh, but how well it is written. As a true audiobook junkie I love to find these rare jewels and devour them. In a nut shell, young single Jewish girl gets herself placed into a group of Alpha males whose singular job is to kill demons. No girl has ever been where she finds herself, but fortunately she has enough attitude to get the chance to show she can play with the big boys. There is sex in this book but from my viewpoint as an older male who has had many a frank talks with enough women to know the sex shown from a woman's POV in this book is pretty right on the nose. The story moves along and keeps the reader involved. I finished this book in less then a day, which made for a long day. I'm buying the next one...

Fun listen with some hilarious and outrageous moments! Love it!

I'm going to the next book to see if it could possibly be as good as this one was!

Finally demons from another point of view ...

It is rare to find books in fantasy/fiction that feature the Jewish religion as a background or as a significant part. In fact I could count them on one hand. So it was very refreshing to find this series. This being the first book there is much allowance for a bit of roughness around the edges.
However, while the narrator was good she didn’t learn how to actually pronounce many of the very common hebrew words, causing hiccups and misunderstandings in anyone who knows the language.
As for the story: It was interesting and had just the right amount of fright, but, ‘Unlikable’ basically describes everyone in the book. There are only 2 or 3 people I would want to see more of and they are not main characters. There are some good passages where the writing excelled, just to dop off again in the next sentence.
I was also not expecting the amount of erotica in the book. Instead of deepening the story in a first book, it was like big holes in a sidewalk one is jogging down hoping for a good run, then having to stop, get around the filler and start again. Oh! God! Another sex scene? Oy Jeezus. For books with series aspirations, sometimes minimizing the erotica works best so that some story...rhythm can be achieved. Then grow it with the following books.

Not for work speakers

Interesting story but I wasn't prepared for the foul and dirty talk. So keep that in mind if you listen at work like I do on speakers. I had to switch to headphones as I still wanted to finish it.

Hot guys? Yes please!

I bought this book 1 on sale. New fan, just bought the other 5. Great story, filled with action, hotness, character growth and family drama.

It's okay - not bad, not great

I read a lot of fantasy and urban fantasy and have now become picky. For every line of humor in this book there an underdeveloped character. For every original idea in this book there was a predictable cliche to match. I found myself doing eye rolls inside my head at parts, far to many parts.

Entertaining and read perfectly!

I love this series! Such an entertaining and well written series where you really get to know the characters and also relate to them in multiple ways. As for the audible version, the narrator is amazing! You feel like it has to be the actual characters voice and her ability to have so many different tones and inflections is amazing! This is one of my go to listens, never gets old!
