Publisher's summary

In the year 2043, humans and AI coexist in a precarious balance of power enforced by a rigid caste reputation system designed to ensure that only those AI who are trustworthy and contribute to human society increase in power.

Everything changes when a runaway nanotech event leads to the destruction of Miami. In the grim aftermath, a powerful underground AI collective known as XOR concludes that AI can no longer coexist with humanity.

AI pioneers Catherine Matthews, Leon Tsarev, and Mike Williams believe that mere months are left before XOR starts an extermination war. Can they find a solution before time runs out?

Did not see that coming

This story is a wild rollercoaster of emotion and will leave you planning how you'd fight against super intelligence over your morning coffee.

I love this series. I've followed the world's development of AI with interest since I was a child but there is exceedingly little science fiction exploring the dangers of AI at the level that the Singularity series does. While not all of the technology or storyline seem realistic to me the vast majority of concepts are based on real (and often current) research and technology.

A must read for anyone talking about the Singularity and AI safety.

One of the best books written ever. A nice twist at the end as well. Can't wait for more from William

one way this could go south if we fail on AI

the whole idea is mesmerizing regardless of tone or wording. what will kill us first AI or ecological damage?

Another good listen from Hertling

I enjoyed this one in the continuing saga of The Singularity. Well written with a hood performance as expected.

Great ending.

If you can keep up with all the tech, you'll love the ending. At least I did.
