A Storm that will wreck a world threatens Dematr. Only Mari, one of the Mechanics who control all technology through their Guild, has a chance to stop it. She and Mage Alain have survived numerous attempts to kill them and have gained many more followers, but the Storm of chaos, born of centuries of enslavement, grows ever closer.
Mari leads an army now. She and Alain must fight together to bind back the Broken Kingdom and build a force strong enough to defeat the might of the Great Guilds. But the Storm has many Servants who seek to preserve or gain personal power or wealth, or fear the New Day that Mari seeks to bring to the world.
And Mari knows that victory will mean nothing if the precious knowledge brought long ago to their world is destroyed. In order to save it, Alain and Mari will have to pierce through the heart of their enemies' power and confront once more a place of ancient nightmare.

Love, Love, Love this Series!

Where does The Servants of the Storm rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I have listened to over 250 audiobooks, and this is one of my favorite series! I have listened to most of the books especially books 3 and 4 over and over. This is another strong book in the series. My friends are so tired of hearing me say that I love this series.

What other book might you compare The Servants of the Storm to and why?

I feel that the story line is very unique and can't really compare it to another series. It's an amazing series!

Which character – as performed by MacLeod Andrews – was your favorite?

Alain is definitely my favorite voice by Macleod Andrews. I love the flat affect he provides to Alain's voice. He is able to deliver more emotion in Alain's voice as the character develops emotions. Macleod Andrews is able to create so many different character voices for women and men and delivers the lines perfectly. I believe Macleod Andrews is a big reason why this audio series is so wonderful.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes. I finished it in less than 24 hours. It was released at 2:00am central time, so when I started to awaken at 5:00am, there was no going back to sleep. I grabbed my phone, and I was hooked.

Any additional comments?

I didn't really care for the Lost Fleet series; however, I just can't stop reading the Pillars of Reality, so if you are not a fan of Jack Campbell's earlier series, please try this one. You won't be disappointed.

Repeats itself

Constantly has to analyze every action with overly simplistic emotions. The same conclusions every time.

I am not going to finish this series because if I hear one more repetition of their oh so pure ideals against the overly simplistic evil I will end up ripping my ears off my head.
