Publisher's summary

Time was running out for Garion and his companions in their quest to recover Garion's infant son and heir. If they could not locate the Place Which Is No More, then Zandramas, the Child of Dark, would use Garion's son in a rite that would raise the Dark Prophecy to eternal domination over the universe. Only the Seeress of Kell could reveal the site of that mysterious place, and she could only do that once Garion and Polgara had fulfilled an ancient prophecy in the mountain fastness of the Seers.

Kell itself was closed to Zandramas, but her dark magic could force the knowledge she needed from one of Garion's party. She laid her traps and dispatched her foul minions, determined to claim the world for the Dark God. But Garion would let nothing stand between him and his son.

incomplete recording

While otherwise an excellent recording, it nonetheless remains incomplete. Imagine the frustration of reaching the verge of the much anticipated "startling conclusion", only to hear the standard "you have reached the end of this recording, but not the end of the complete audio book. Please check your library for the next installment..."

I first read the series back in the early 1980's.

I first read the series back in the early 1980's. I have read it twice and listened to the audio books twice. Each time I read or listen it was like going home to visit an old friend. And each time that visit ends I long to return.

loved it

I really loved and enjoyed the entire series. every book is well written and well read and that is rare because many times the next series seems to reflect that the author is tired and just wants to wrap it up.

captivating!!!

I couldn't put the book down! The reader was great at keeping the characters apart using accents, attitudes, and tones.

Amazing!!

I've been reading these books all my life, they're incredible and Cameron Beierle did an amazing job as narrator, the voices he did for each character were somehow exactly perfect. thank you Cameron!!
