Greedy

Much to short for the money. I feel the first and second book should have been one book.

Good, but lacking

While still a good read, Haven lacked the intrigue, excitement, and pace of Aurora. Everything is a struggle for survival and after a while you become some what bored with the experience. The book also becomes slightly predictable. I would still recommend this book though as certain parts are integral in the rest of the series.

just what i want from a sci-fi series

Would you listen to The Rings of Haven again? Why?

i would listen to this again because although the story is easy to follow, there is so much depth to the story some of the details may be missed.

Reasonable book, just short and boring

What did you like best about The Rings of Haven? What did you like least?

Least: well too short, I get the impression that this guy is ripping readers off by having a short book for the same price and the story line is very weak, do some shopping in a supermarket then go to the farm to buy in bulk. Buy the series but this one is short to make money for an author who couldn't be bothered to write a good story. Not impressed.

If you’ve listened to books by Ryk Brown before, how does this one compare?

One of the weak ones

What about Jeffrey Kafer’s performance did you like?

Yes it is OK. No problems there

Was The Rings of Haven worth the listening time?

No

Any additional comments?

Just a very weak storyline and really there were many times when the story was repeated. I think he ran out of ideas and wanted to produce a series of books to make lots of money. Disappointed.

Just a nice average book

It seems like most of the book is about just going to a planet and looking for some food and talking to each other a lot. Then there are some exciting bits at the end and the book ends. I am used to books lasting a lot longer than 5 hours too. It's a neat story but really the author should sell three books together at the same time to get a story where enough happens to get you interested.
