I loved it!!

This book wraps up the story of Elizabeth and Teagan perfectly but I still hope for another story with these characters.

Very boring.... slow journey to a predictable end.

I was so hoping this would be as good as the first book. I just wanted to know what was going to happen to Bess. I stuck with it. A lot of moments that drag on and on and on. ... oh well.

Waste of a credit

How disappointing. Another reviewer mentioned how many times she’d rolled her eyes during this story... I too lost count. Narration was horrible (par for this narrator though) and the story a huge let down after The Witch’s Daughter. Don’t waste your credit...

2 Are Better Than One

I really liked the narration. She has a great English lilt, and handles American and Cockney accents well. I generally knew who each character was from the narration.
I was grateful to be able to listen to both The Witch's Daughter and the Return of the Witch 's Daughter in sequence and immediately one after the other. The story was generally well thought out, but I would have liked to know more about how Elizabeth learned her craft. The use of flashback to tell about both Elizabeth's and Tegan's life experiences was a clever and useful technique. Although the first book can stand alone, the conclusion in the 2nd book is well written and satisfying.
I would love to hear what Elizabeth and Tegan do next....

Slight twists and turns to a predictable end

Our protagonists prevail against evil and make enjoyable discoveries about themselves in the mix. All in all, it's twisty, heart wrenching and satisfying!

What a journey...

I am so glad that I got the opportunity to read "The Witch's Daughter" and "Return of the Witch" back-to-back! It really helped me stay in that world and follow Elizabeth and Teagan through time on a dangerous adventure!

This time around, Elizabeth has come back because somehow Gideon has escaped the Summerlands. It is not a matter of if but when Gideon will lash out against Teagan and Elizabeth must warn her before it's too late. She will have to follow Gideon through time (with the help of a time-stepper)because he eventually kidnaps Teagan when they least expect it.

She must return to the 1600s, not too many years after she was tried as a witch. She will then follow him into the 1800s in London not too many years before she would have become a doctor during the years of "Jack the Ripper." All the while, trying to figure out what motive he has for wanting Teagan so badly!

There will be a showdown of power and a love will blossom through the travel. Will Teagan be killed before Elizabeth can get to her? Can they finally defeat Gideon?

A lovely ending

I really enjoyed the complexity of this book, with its time traveling through different periods and looking at different magical practices across the world. I'd love to read about Tegan's continued adventures
