Publisher's Summary

For too long had the Vth Legion ranged out beyond the sight of the wider Imperium, remaining ignorant of the Warmaster's rebellion and the war that inevitably followed.
Only once their primarch, Jaghatai Khan, had satisfied himself that the path before them was just and true did the White Scars choose a side, taking the fight to the traitors on every front. But, four years later, the Legion's unfettered spirit has been broken by relentless attritional warfare against the Death Guard and the Emperor's Children - the Khan's Stormseers must find a clear route to Terra if they are to take part in the final, apocalyptic battle.

Great Story, Distracting Narrator

I loved Scars. Path to Heaven follows up very well. The tale is a great addition to the overall arc of the HH series and I love how distinct the 5th Legion is compared to their peers.

My only real criticism is the use of accents by the narrator. The accents for the Chogoran Scars is something of a stereotypical Asian accent which is silly and annoying and makes each of the characters sound the same so their individual voices and characters get muted. the narrator also pronounces Yesugei laughably incorrectly. In an audiobook you need distinct voices for each character so you can organize who is who and who is speaking and the narrator's reliance on a silly accent makes each of the Scars sound the same, except for the one Terran born Scar, which is dissapointing.

An excellent story!

The White Scars and their Primarch have quickly become one of my favorite Legions since 'Scars' and this book continues the trend.

fantastic

Best HH audiobook iv heard so far. A good tie up of a number of storylines from previous novel(s) (which I read, not listened to). Admittedly I felt a bit lost in the aforementioned book(s)(?) but it was brought together so very well. Highly recommended.
