Publisher's summary

Life is hell for Persephone. Zeus will stop at nothing to gain access to the living realm and the Underworld, and as the only living god with a right to both, Persephone's in trouble. Captured and tortured beyond the limits of her resolve, Persephone must find the power to stand against Zeus. But will she be strong enough?

Meanwhile, Hades contemplates desperate measures to rescue his queen. Persephone never thought of herself as dangerous, but there's a reason gods never marry for love. A being with the power to destroy all of creation shouldn't place more value in one individual than the rest of the planet. But Hades...Hades would break the world for her.

To save the world and stop both Hades and Zeus, Persephone must make a difficult choice. One that may cost her everything.

Another amazing book!

The author provided me with a complimentary copy of this audiobook in exchange for an honest review. Kaitlin Bevis did it again. This book was even better than the second book. How is that possible?

This book was a different format than the earlier books in that each chapter was shorter and was from a different character's point of view. I both liked it and disliked it. I liked that it was from a different character's point of view and at the beginning of each chapter you're told which character's POV it is told from. I disliked that the chapters were so short. Some of them could have been combined and just had a pause for a section break like she did in earlier books.

Overall, I'm pleased with the book, the way the series is progressing, and the way the characters continue to grow. I can't wait to find out what's next in book four.

AMAZING

If you could sum up The Iron Queen in three words, what would they be?

MUST READ, BREATHTAKING

Who was your favorite character and why?

Hades's wittiness, ever lasting love, and slightly aggressiveness makes him my favorite character throughout the whole series. His love for Persephone is beyond touching and it makes people envious of how perfect they are for each other.

What does Kaitlin Bevis bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

The way she reads the book brings the characters to life. She gives them character and sass.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes

Any additional comments?

Once you start this series there's no stopping. It's an amazing book and the characters are all well developed! 10 out 10!

Kaitlin Bevis Rocks!

Would you listen to The Iron Queen again? Why?

Yes, because to be honest with so many POV's if you don't pay strict attention you could get a little confused, but mostly because this book is awesome.

What did you like best about this story?

The way it was so complicated, things were never what they seemed and it was always surprizing.

Which character – as performed by Kaitlin Bevis – was your favorite?

Persephone, with Aphrodite a close second. She made those 2 characters so very real to me. The inflections and attitudes they both had were carried through beautifully.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Just when you thought you knew....
