Publisher's Summary

“Whatever you do, fight.”
Sophia's family has skeletons, but they aren't in their graves.
At 22, practicing Wiccan Sophia Parsons is scratching out a living waiting tables in her Rocky Mountain hometown, a pariah after a string of unsolved murders with only one thing in common: Her.
Sophia can imagine lots of ways to improve her life, but she'd settle for just getting rid of the buzzing noise in her head. When the spell she casts goes wrong, the static turns into voices. Her personal demons get company, and the newcomers are dangerous.
One of them is a man named Charles, who Sophia falls for despite her better judgment. He has connections that might help her unveil the mystery surrounding her ancestor's hanging, but she gets more than she bargains for when she finally decides to trust him.
Survival in his world, she learns, means not asking questions and staying out of the immortal council's way. It's a line she crossed long ago. If Sophia wants to survive the council and save the people she loves, she must accept who she is, perform dark magic, and fight to the death for her freedom.
The Forever Girl is a full-length Paranormal Fantasy novel that will appeal to lovers of paranormal romance, urban fantasy, witches, vampire fiction, ghost stories, paranormal mystery, and paranormal horror.

Wickedly Suspenseful and Darkly Romantic

If you could sum up The Forever Girl in three words, what would they be?

Wickedly suspenseful and darkly romantic, The Forever Girl embraces the pitfalls of being an outcast, resisting our desires, and learning to accept our fate. This is one helluva smoldering paranormal mystery.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Forever Girl?

When Charles and Sophia kissed for the first time! I was suspended in time with them for that moment, with all the tension leading up to then. Initially Charles was so hot and cold with Sophia that I shared her confusion about him but in that scene we found out why, and I fell in love with him.

Which scene was your favorite?

Halloween, when they meet the vampire coterie for the first time in the alley. The scene was alive in all my senses, and Thalia was a particularly engaging character.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Sophia's witticisms has me laughing out loud on more than one occasion! Mostly though this book just made my heart pound and my palms get sweaty and a few times gave me chills and spooked me a bit!!

Any additional comments?

I really liked the Witch/Wiccan angle of the story. I thought this was going to be just another vampire book but Hamilton brought tons of fresh creatures to the table and remade some old ones and even her vampires were uniquely done. This is on my list of all time favorites and I want the sequel like yesterday! A fine start to a new paranormal series!

a new favorite!

What did you love best about The Forever Girl?

The romance between Charles and Sophia! Even though the plot is about more than their romance the scene between them were awesome!

Who was your favorite character and why?

I don't want to give away any plot twists but I will say my favorite character was the one that was part of the biggest plot twist. I did NOT see that coming. She was nuts and yet I felt a little heart broken for her at the same time. I loved reading her story.

Which character – as performed by Sarah McKee – was your favorite?

Sophia! The narrator NAILED the voice for this character! I hope she will do the future books in the series because I can't see anyone else doing Sophia's voice now.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Absolutely! I kept telling myself I would listen to just one more chapter but that was impossible because of the suspense and mystery and there was always a cliffhanger at the end of each chapter I had to know what happened next!

Any additional comments?

I like that this book didn't sound robotic like some audiobooks do. It felt like the actual character was telling me the story. Sarah McKee did an amazing job and the author did too this was an amazing story!
