Worth a listen

Great. Although the voices for some of the characters seems a little off although they did their best.

Nat Garro is another great hero "with purpose"

This book is gripping from start to finish. Even though the first two-thirds cover the same story as the previous books, the battle of Istvan III, they give an amazing new perspective of a loyalist in a different legion.

Great story, narration wasn't what I expected.

Everything was great, narration included. I suppose I was taken aback by the voices he chose to use for the Primarchs. Otherwise, I had no issue with anything, everything was great.

A beautiful story.

The first four books of Horus Heresey are simply amazing. Arthurian poetry. Flight of the Eisenstein equal to the task of wrapping things up in the Istvan system and beyond. Just buy the four books and go from there. Your heart and soul will thank you for the addition of a truly wonderful story to enjoy and remember.

Great story narration was a little lacking but still a great book

It’s tough to compare with the narrator of the first 3 books in the series. Jonathan Keebler’s voices are a little diminutive and whiny at first but he finds his own later. This is a great background to find out what happened to the prophet and how the sisterhood will deal with this new psychic and other worldly threats to the universe

A must for any Heresy collector

The story of Garro is the story of the beginning of the heresy itself and the creation of 2 major faction within the 40k universe

I love the story! Narrator on the other hand...

I loved the story, but by the grace of the god emperor, the narrator was BAD. He made everyone sound SO nasaly. When he was just speaking, it was fine. But it felt like he went out of his way to make Caleb sound like a nasaly dweeb.
