Publisher's summary

Lost at Sea

Caramon, Sturm, and Tasslehoff, on an innocent ship's errand, are blown thousands of miles off course by a magic windstorm and transported to the eastern Bloodsea. Caramon and Sturm are left for dead while Tasslehoff mysteriously turns against his friends....

Back in Solace, Raistlin convinces Flint Fireforge and Tanis Half-Elven that they must make a perilous journey to Mithas, the kingdom of the minotaurs. Their task: not only to rescue their friends, but also to defeat the elusive Nightmaster.

The Companions brings the cast of the Dragonlance series together for their first adventure. Author Tina Daniell wrote the best-seller Dark Heart.

So much fun

This book is one of the best stories out there. It has everything. Romance. Daring. A magic message in a bottle. All the companions (even Kit). Oh...and the very best part of the book. Evil Tasslehoff. I laughed till I cried in this book. It’s a perfect 10.
PS my 66 year mom reads this book at least twice a year. To lift her spirits.

Story was decent, horrible narrator

Story is tolerably.
Narration?
WHO gave this guy a pass? The guy doing soulforge and brothers in arms should have done all of these, i almost Quit and just skip to the chronicles, then i listened to the narrator on those and thought might as well get used to a horrible accent and Raistlin sounding like a kindergarten teacher who doesn’t give a damn loosing that cunning wits about him

Great story if you’re looking to get into the companions shenanigans.

The story was well written, as has been the case with just about all the books in the series. The book is well narrated as well and does a good job of demonstrating the moment. Haven’t gotten through the previous books yet but am working on it, but this is still a great quality and fun story throughout.

What happened to quality control?

First of all, it is Tass, not Taz. Really.
Next, TaSS is NOT a leprechaun or Irish.

Raistlin, who in this story has NOT taken the test, is described as having hourglass eyes. That does not happen until after he takes the test. Unbelievable!

I simply can't believe that this was approved.

Good thing I can recoup the credit.

Evil Tass makes the book

The story is decent, but it's definitely not amazing.
The voice acting is top-notch. His Tass is the best. Unfortunately, Tass isn't in it that much.

The story & Stillwell are great.

I grew up with a modest chest packed with dragonlance novels. Maybe because I'm partial to Tas, I think the story was pulled off well for the most part. Kevin Stillwell is outstanding as usual.

It is what it is. And that's not a bad thing.

Do you love Dragonlance and want another adventure with your all the great characters? This is for you. It's not ground breaking or particularly dramatic since all the characters have to remain relatively unchanged but it's a lot of fun. If you like Tas, this book is especially gonna be up your alley.
