No mega cliff hangers but there is still a lot of unfinished buisness.
Our heroine is at peace mostly by the end of this book. Still I enjoy the characters SO much!
I recommend this and the previous two books two anyone into adventure, fantasy, fae, magic, and scf-fi
Also, the same narrator improves dramatically from the monotone delivery you hear through most of book 1 to an exceedingly better delivery in books 2 & 3. If you handle it, definitely listen to all 3 books

Thoroughly enjoyed the narrator, and the twists and turns in the story. A great addition to the series, and the development of the characters/ friendships

I love the Library stories having read them in the traditional format up to now and was really looking forward to listening to the latest on audio.
Alas! Does the narrator get to listen back to their recording? Surely they would notice the same intonation repeated over and over and over for every sentence!
Actually, the producer is probably more at fault - they should be sacked for allowing this travesty to be published.
But most of all I feel sorry for Genevieve Cogman who's great stories have been completely ruined, none of the subtleties and humour in the writing were represented at all.
What a shame.

Considering that this story is about the Invisible Library and about every second sentence has the word library in it, it's ridiculous that the narrator seems to be unable to pronounce it as anything other than libaree! She has a rather stilted and disconnected narrating style, rather flat and with peculiar inflections. Shame that the book has been spoiled by this, please get someone else to narrate the one that's due out this!year
