Publisher's summary

A desperate battle with the vilest of dragons!

Dark Sun continues to be the most sought-after of the classic TSR Dungeons & Dragons campaign settings, and this third release in the five-part Prism Pentad will continue to bring old and new fans alike into the magic-scarred deserts of Athas.

In order to finally defeat Borys, the Dragon of Athas, Sadira will have to reach the Pristine Tower - the citadel from which the dragon was born. But the same dark forces that created Borys still haunt the smoldering ruins.

Ehhh...

Just okay. Forgettable characters and story. I enjoyed the first two book much more than this.

typical of the author

sadira is such a hypocritical character its painful typical Mary Sue. No one is allowed to defile the land unless it's her smh then her reason is always such a self righteous answer that makes 0 sense because anyone could say the same reason but that would make them a defiler. I guess that's why my dnd group all came to the conclusion of killing sadira because she's a tyrant.

Decent entry, still doesn’t live up to the first of the series.

This is a very fun read, the great finish. I don’t love the choice from the author to focus on individual characters after the first book was more of an ensemble piece, however I found this one more entertaining than the second book. The performance of the reader, as usual, it’s fantastic.

good stuff

I got to say it was a good book but it was hard to listen to because it got boring it about 85% of the places I'm still going to give it five stars all the way just because it's D&D but if you're really looking for a great book to listen to this isn't it

Entertaining Unique Fantasy

This is my favorite setting and novel series from dungeons and dragons. Excellent narration as well.

love the book, not the narration

the elves have accents , sometimes, then they drop and come back. The main character who I feel should be tough sounds like she's scared and soft. just not for me. I love Darksun and the book is good.

Continuing a good Introduction

Any additional comments?

A wonderful introduction the world of Athas. All five of Denning's books, read by the talented Ray Porter do a good job of wetting your appetite for the world. Sadly, the other eight books in the older Dark Sun series have yet to be released on Audible. I recommend that fans of the series, old and new, get these audio editions. Hopefully it will encourage WotC and Audible to release the remaining books, and have readers as talented as Mr. Porter.
