Publisher's Summary

Lynx is a mercenary with a sense of honour - a dying breed in the Riven Kingdom. Failed by the nation he served and weary of the skirmishes that plague the continent's principalities, he walks the land in search of purpose. He wants for little, so bodyguard work keeps his belly full and his mage-gun loaded. It might never bring a man fame or wealth, but he's not forced to rely on others or kill without cause.
Little could compel Lynx to join a mercenary company, but he won't turn his back on a kidnapped girl. At least the job seems simple enough: the mercenaries are less stupid and vicious than most he's met over the years. So long as there are no surprises or hidden agendas along the way, it should work out fine.

A great listen!

An awesome story, not the best narrator

[{"type":"Overall","question":"Where does Stranger of Tempest rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?","id":228,"answer":"Smack in the middle, it would be top with a different narrator"},{"type":"Story","question":"What did you like best about this story?","id":191,"answer":"The characters. Immediately engaging and lovable :)"},{"type":"Performance","question":"Would you be willing to try another one of Jay Villiers’s performances?","id":212,"answer":"probably not :("},{"type":"Genre","question":"Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?","id":245,"answer":"No, this is the first book I\u0027ve listened to while also reading it on my kindle. Took several days split between looking after children, the dog and working :)"},{"type":"Misc","question":"Any additional comments?","id":-1,"answer":"Buy the book, either the kindle or hardback version. Its Tom Lloyd back to his best."}]
