Publisher's Summary

In a stunning turn of events, Luke Skywalker and his son, Ben, joined forces with members of the Sith armada sent to kill them - and turned their combined might against the monstrous being Abeloth. But with Abeloth gone, the Sith reverted to form, making a treacherous attempt on Luke's life.
Luke and Ben have no time for retaliation. A new and even more insidious threat is rising. Unless the Skywalkers survive to sound the alarm, the galaxy will suffer as it has never suffered before. But the reinforcements they need remain grounded on Coruscant, where the political battle of wills between the Jedi Council and Galactic Alliance Chief of State Natasi Daala has reached a boiling point.
Now Luke and Ben must go on the run, taking along the inscrutable - and dangerous - Sith apprentice Vestara Khai. With a host of Sith warriors in hot pursuit, the Skywalkers soon find themselves trapped on the moon Pydyr, caught between their former allies and a mob of angry Fallanassi. A new truce may be their only hope.

Fate of the Jedi - Vortex

This series continues to improve as it the story progresses. This is a much more emotional story. It's has happy moment and some sad moments. I really enjoyed and will listen to it again. If you follow the star wars universe, you'll want to continue with this story. If you haven't read/listened any of the previous Fate of the Jedi, then you'll want to read or listen to them first.

Marc Thompson is a great narrator. I hope to see more narrations from him and not just Star Wars books.

If you could sum up Star Wars: Fate of the Jedi: Vortex in three words, what would they be?

By far the best one in the series so far.

What did you like best about this story?

Its not just the main characters that are amazing you find a lot of secondary characters to care about. It really paints the star wars universe in an amazing detailed way.

What does Marc Thompson bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

His performance is really as good as it gets. After awhile i really don't need him to say who is talking anyway he has such a distinct performance for each of the characters.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

there is a death of a character in the book that was without spoiling anything absolutely stunning.

Any additional comments?

a must buy for any Star Wars fan.
