Publisher's summary

The Enterprise's central computer becomes infatuated with James Kirk - just as a Romulan warship attacks! But the attack is a deadly feint. The Romulans are being ravaged by a killer plague, and to save their civilization they must invade Canara, where the only known antidote can be found. Suddenly the galaxy is hurtling toward war. The Canarans threaten mass suicide and the Federation masses a counterattack against the Romulans. Kirk, his amorous computer, and the Enterprise crew have one chance left to avert an all-out conflagration: they must save their most dangerous enemies - and deliver the Romulans the antidote at any cost.

A Bite Sized Star Trek Offering

A decent little audio book for what it was worth. I'd say it was worth it just to hear George Takei narrate as the love struck enterprise computer!

This felt like a book that was written to write a book

Serious lack of story here. The computer subplot was…bad. To say the least.
The performances were well done but the book was not.

Not enough Nimoy, way too much Takei

What disappointed you about Star Trek: Web of the Romulans (Adapted)?

The story seemed rather engagin except for the romantic delusions of a ships computer. I was enthralled with the telling of Romulan War but was deflates. Still, the main caveat of this tale was that Takei CREEPED ME OUT with his ship voice. Ick. So no, would not recommend.

What was most disappointing about M.S. Murdock’s story?

Takeis creepy ship voice and it enough of Romulan violence.

Would you be willing to try another one of Leonard Nimoy and George Takei ’s performances?

I would LOOOVE some more Nimoy vocals.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

Can uncomfortable be the emotion?

Worth $7 but no more

This was an "okay" Star Trek novel. Slim in plot and the amorous computer had already been done in the TV series and is annoying here. Only get this selection if you are a fan and have already listened to most of the other offerings.

Great Narrator but the story is lacking

I enjoyed the reading of George T. much more than the primary reader of Star Trek books. They story ideas is good but the telling is definitely rushed.
