Worth a Credit

This second book in the series was much better than the first and worth the credit. I'm glad I didn't give up after the first book (which I think I need to downgrade to 2 stars for the story.

Again, the narrator was quite good but unlike book 1, there's a story with action here. I listened to it all day while running errands and doing laundry without stop which is the mark of an enjoyable read for me.

I do have two complaints, though. First I find it irritating that at the end of the second book none of the characters has figured out what their ship can do! I mean come on, before flying through a blockade wouldn't anybody with half a brain take a couple of days to figure out what weapons, drives, speed, etc . your ship is equipped for? DUH!
Second I hate the ending. It's another of those rip-off cliff hangers where they finally have time to confront Eve about her story and why she and the ship are so important that the corporation she escaped is sending everything they have to catch or destroy the ship and her...and also anyone apparently with any knowledge of them....then ends. So you have to wait for the next book to get even a peek into the why of the storyline.

I liken this series to the Omega Force series but not as good.
