Kill the infection! Kill the infected!
In the aftermath of the battle for Monk's Island, Murphy has been nursing Zed back to health in a remote house at the west end of the lake. But every day they see helicopters cross the sky, heading south and then back north again. Zed wonders if the helicopters are proof that not all civilization has collapsed. He convinces Murphy to seek out the place where the helicopters are landing so they can find the answer to that question. What they find at the end of their journey is both more dangerous and more hopeful than either would ever have guessed.

Why would you change the narrator?
Very disappointing narrator change
Little inflection in his voice, a distracting whistling "s", and it was impossible to put this voice with the Zed I've come to know and love. It's like young, energetic, Null Spot Zed went from gung-ho White Slayer to a decrepit old man overnight. No offense meant to the narrator Sean, I'm sure he would be great in other books but his voice is just WRONG for Zed and crew. Where's the excitement? All of these books have been fast-paced and enthusiastically narrated and now I'm listening an old man talk thru his dentures about the good ole days. Yes, I'm very disappointed. Looks like for the rest of the series I'll be reading instead of listening or I'll never be able to stay awake to finish.
It's wrong to change the narrator this close to the end of the series, especially such a drastic change in voice and style! Maybe they could've at least gotten someone to try and keep up with what we've gotten used to? Zed is now a completely different person, as are all of the other characters. I miss the fun and exciting telling of the story by the previous narrator, who put so much effort and personality into each and every character. I will sorely miss listening to the rest of the series in my car. Sorry if I'm a little dramatic, just so disappointed as I've eagerly purchased each book and couldn't wait to start listening. Damn.
