Almost great
90/100. I have to knock off a few points for the cliche story arc.. goody goody MC, doesn't do what he needs to do, it comes back to really hurt him. Tired, easy, and ultimately lazy story development with Braxis. Would have been 5 stars without that branch of the story, which I'm sure is a large part of book 3, which is the saddest part.
With that being said, I still recommend this book and will be listening to book 3 when it comes out. Interesting mix of The Matrix and LitRPG.

you can really tell that the author wasn't just making something up to write another book. you need to read this one to continue the story. has more innuendo than the first book but nothing super graphic. first book had zero innuendo

Love this story, want more
This is a really fun and exciting story, there is a lot of unknown and mystery and each little reveal is exciting! The characters feel like people and are just as flip floppy as my sibling and I are. I really love this take on a earth and man kinds struggle to survive.

Great story and theme
I like the series a lot and this is the second book by this author that I have purchased an audiobook for. I liked the performance alot. Some things I wish that were different are the list of items and or levels to be more stacked I.E. "you find meat x 3" instead of listing out you find meat three times in a row. Overall a great read and audiobook.

Edge of my seat!
Liked the first one so much that I got this one right away and then chewed thru the whole thing in just a few days!! Really great story so far and yet again, a hell of a cliffhanger! Time to go get the next one and see how this is all going to play out!
