I liked the great cast of characters. Quite entertaining for a zombie story. I look forward to the next book.

Average. Just average.

I tried. I really tried to like this book because someone recommended the author to me. However, it was both unremarkable and unbelievably predictable. It wasn't bad, but it also can't be called good without grossly exaggerating. I would like to give this author another chance but it would have to be free, not at the expense of my credit.

I love Billy!

Great characters, can’t wait to see where Billy in particular goes! Get him his meds though!

I really like Billy

Billy is a level 4 crazy killer but I can't help but like him. I know others say this book is too cliche` but what is cliche` about a killer that you actually root for?? I, for one, cannot wait to hear more Billy exploits. I don't think he is even the MC but he should be. The other characters were OK. The usual hero, gang member bad guy, military guys, regular folks but what story doesn't have these types? Narrator did a good job. I would recommend this book.

good, zombie chronicles much better

good story, kinda obvious with the cop rick, but my dad's name is rick, liked the chaos much better, made me and my dad laugh butts off, wish run was as funny. love that it's the same zombie universe, just wish it had the humor. I'll keep all 3 downloaded to add to my bunker. a+

Great plot

The characters were well rounded. I want to listen to the second book! I love Billy.

Mediocrity at its most mediocre.

This was a disappointment. It sounded good, but never delivered. If there is a sequel I wouldn't pay more than $5 for it.
1. The title is Run and I expected harrowing escapes and frantic flight from horrible death with varied faces. What I got was some running through predictable scenarios with boring baddies.
2. All zombie fiction requires some level of accepting the implausible. This book took it to new heights that I just could not achieve. The premise for the virus goes well beyond what I can accept.
3. I never connected with any of the characters and felt like no attempt was made to establish that connection for most of them accept maybe one. The rest just seem like 2D cutouts.
Honestly by the end of this audio book I didn't care who lived or died just wanted it over.

Looking for a lunch date with the living

Virus outbreak has the dead rising, looking for a lunch date with the living. Not much background on the virus, where it came from and why. A group of survivors decide that Alcatraz Island would be a good place to settle down and watch the apocalypse go by. Characters are semi-interesting as is the plot. Billy is a good subplot and worth a look into why the zombies ignore him. Three.point.five for the effort.

I enjoyed this book. it's a good old fashion zombie apocalypse book. with relatable characters.
