Work on the pauses.

I was asked to read and review Order of the Seers and chose to upgrade to audiobook. For some reason, I had it in my head that this was a young adult book; most likely my interpretation of the cover. It’s not. Some of the characters may start off young, but due to their tragic circumstances, they grow up fast.

They story spans over several years, following the lives of several characters. The story is extremely well developed, and has vivid descriptions. I was never lost through the frenetic plot, and was hungry for what came next. All of the characters were well developed, especially the main players, and it’s incredibly easy to get caught up in the story of worldwide domination of Seers, in order to further all worldwide Government’s goals, without a care for the people they hurt and destroy.

Order of the Seers is the ultimate David and Goliath story. Yet this time, David packs more of a punch than just a rock. It was extremely enjoyable and I look forward to book two, Order of the Seers: The Red Order. I just hope it comes in audio. I really enjoyed listening to the first one! My only criticism on the audiobook would be the pausing. It was in middle of sentences and disrupted the flow and pace of the story...Sara

Excellent handling of multiple POVs

Where does Order of the Seers rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Probably up there with game of thrones, only shorter. I loved jumping between characters. But you never had too wait terribly long to know more about each character's plight.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Alessandra. In part because I loved the way she was voiced. Though I also like how she was introduced as something to be feared, but quickly became very loveable.

Which scene was your favorite?

The scene in the truck between Alessandra and Liam. It is a lovely example of normal awkwardness in a paranormal book.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, if only it were a bit shorter I would have.

Any additional comments?

Loved all the character voices in this. Really helped in a book as busy with characters as this. I didn't find myself wondering who was speaking as sometimes happens with big casts.
