The end is near.

The Battle Academy and Mage School forces have joined, but they are outnumbered by Ewzad Vriil's army of mutated men and Mellinda's forest of monsters.

There are spies on both sides, assassins on the hunt, secrets to be revealed, and Justan's magic will be unleashed. But there is one thing they haven't considered. Even if they can somehow overcome Ewzad Vriil, will they be able to destroy The Mother of the Moonrats?

Good book, fantastic series

This is a great, entertaining series. While "Mother of the Moonrat" wasn't my favorite in the series, it was still a very enjoyable listen. It was interesting getting the back story on Melinda (the moonrat mother) and some additional info on the prophet and who/what the prophet serves. I'd highly recommend starting the series from the beginning, and reading Hilt's Pride, a short story which does have an impact on the overall story.

The characters really make this series fantastic. Both author and narrator deserve the kudos for creating some fantastic characters. I doubt anyone could finish listening to this series without wishing they could be bonded to Fist (an ogre who, in my opinion, supplanted Shrek as the world's most endearing ogre)

I really can't give the narrator any better praise than to say that the series didn't suffer at all when he took over with book 2. It takes huge talent to take over partway through the series as seamlessly as Andrew Tell did with the Bowl of Souls. He is just a fantastic narrator.

Great book!

Great book! Great series! Readers will not want to stop listening. Author is very good at weaving wizards and warriors together into the story.

Great and simple books

This book has a lot to offer. Rich world, overarching plot. It falls short in the narrating. I can tell he tries but often he is monotone. It hurts the books.

Good, but not as engulfing as the others

It was well written, and I was excited to see where the heros were going, however it felt like a lack luster end to an otherwise epic journey.
Well worth the read, just not as good as the build up.
