Publisher's summary

I protect my pack at all costs-and I never fail.

The vampires have broken our tentative truce and are threatening to destroy my pack. At the center of their scheme is Sky, an enigmatic lone wolf, who they believe is a weapon that can be used against us.

Nothing about the quiet, doe-eyed brunette screams "danger" or "ruthless weapon." And that's the problem. My wolf's instinct says to protect her, especially after a necromancer tries to kill her, the vampires repeatedly attempt to abduct her, and we receive a dire warning about her.

But as more is discovered about the elusive lone wolf, I quickly realize she's more dangerous than she looks.

Can I neutralize the situation and protect her life, or do what I do best-protect the pack at all costs?

Ethan's POV was great!

I have been a fan of the Sky Brooks series and have read and listened to all of them. Multiple times. I really enjoyed hearing Ethan's POV. There were several times when I wondered what he was thinking and why he was acting a certain way. This book explained Ethan's motivations and thoughts. And the narrator was great!

The only way this book could have been better, would be if it was combined so that Sky and Ethan's POV were in the same book. I hope that more books with Ethan's POV are written and recorded.

Ethan POV...left me wanting more!

I am excited to for the second book in this series. I liked the narrator voice for many of the characters especially Ethan's. I wasn't a big fan of his version of Sebastian but loved all of the other voices.

Great addition!

Emerson Knight did a great nod keeping with McKenzie Hunters book. He did Ethans point of view extremely well. He also did a great job bring additional elements to story, which only added to it.

Excellent

I read this story from Skylar's perspective and enjoyed it, but reading Ethan's POV is quite an enjoyable revelation. I would love it even if I had not read Skylar's POV. This book actually made me like some of the characters I could hardly tolerate in the other.
Good pace. Lots of action. Definitely a great addition to the Skylar Brooks world.
Job well done Emerson Knight.
Love the narrator. I can definitely say his voice is Ethan. Dominant. Strong. Looking forward to more.

This should be read first before the skylar brooks

I felt like I was re-listening to the Skylar Brooks series, only in Ethan's voice. The SBSeries had more details from her point of view so listening to this afterwards is really hard since I already know the story now. This should be read first so that when you listen to her point of view you understand more details (like when she opens the book and sees her future) and then you already know Ethan's doings and thoughts and why. This is still just a recap of it all but with a man reading it.

love this

I love hearing both sides of the story. I listen to Skylar's side first, then Ethan's. This makes me soooo happy, and I don't mind hearing the story twice. Both narratives are wonderful, and I love both authors' super great series.

Fan

Loved the story especially from Ethan’s point of view. The story follows the first book. But in a different way. It is funny how two different points of views are seen in different ways. Now to see what happens next.

I want the rest of the series on audio

I love the sky brooks series and Ethans side is good too. I hope they finish his side on audio here soon! I plan on getting the other series by McKenzie Hunter because she has shown me she is well worth it.

Love the series

I love the series, wish there were more than 7 books. The one thing I absolutely hated was how much Winter wanted to kill Sky solely for what Sky is…. Sebastian killed Winter’s pack, saved her life and accepted her into his pack when her’s wanted to kill her just because she is a Weresnake! What a hypocrite.

Terrible characters, dumb story, no continuity.

i want my 8 hours back please. What a stupid book. The wares are 2 dimensional, the vamps are lame and magic is a big ol mess. There isn't an admirable character in the entire novel with the H and h being the worst of all. He's a meathead, whiney grump and she's all over the place and lacks even a skeleton of substance. I have no idea what was so special about her nor why any of them made the decisions they made. Rrrrrrrr. what a waste of time.
