College students, human and nonhuman, raised together on the same planet, search for the origins of civilization in the galaxy - and find old magic and a vast, implacable conspiracy. If not, then why does the enemy fear them?

Good god! The narrator must be special needs.

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

I have several hundred audio books. I have listened to many varied narrators, but have never heard anything as horrific as this. The story was OK, when we could actually focus on the story and not the crazy vocal dialects. Wow!
