Publisher's summary

The Philippine Sea Plate is the deepest, most unexplored realm on the planet. Hidden beneath its ancient crust lies the remains of the Panthalassa, an ocean that dates back 220 million years. Vast and isolated, the Panthalassa is inhabited by nightmarish species of sea creatures long believed extinct.

Tanaka Institute, Monterey, CA: Angel, the recaptured 76-foot, 100,000-pound Megalodon, has birthed a litter of pups - five females - far too numerous and aggressive to keep in one pen. One solution: a Dubai royal prince is building the largest aquarium in the world and seeks to purchase two of the "runts".

The deal hinges on hiring Jonas Taylor's 21-year-old son, David, to be their trainer. Jonas reluctantly agrees, and David is off to Dubai for the summer of his life - not realizing he is being set up to lead an expedition that will hunt down and capture the most dangerous creatures ever to inhabit the planet.

Don't over think it

It's a great series from an entertainment experience. Some storylines last and new ones evolving. All of the books in the series have their place. If you look for reasons to complain, you'll find them. However that is true with everything. Just enjoy this for what it is... a great series to entertain and provide escape from reality.

Wheeeeee!

I like this book. It’s probably my favorite of the four I’ve read so far, I’m behind on the series a bit. Keith Szarabajka does a wonderful job narrating, and does well with the tense moments.

good story

The continuation of The Meg series was a good installment. My wife and I were hoping for a more complex human antagonist and such a stereotypical two dimensional character was a little disappointing. Enjoyed the story arc involving David and his girlfriend.

Surprisingly good

I really enjoyed this book, even though it is fiction, the research done to write this book made it feel like it could come true. If you enjoy books about shark’s and dinosaur’s I would highly recommend listening to this book.

Splendid

The narration was incredible and at no points did the story feel weak, bloated or like it was dragging on. Easily one of the best in the MEG series

Excitement and suspense!

MEG: Hell's Aquarium
by Steve Alten
One of my frivolous delights is a monstrous-type book to read at night like a late night B movie I use to watch as a kid! Popcorn and a monster book at night is so devilishly fun! A no-brainer, just lots of thrills and fascination! Especially if it's an extinct creature! This is perfect for that category! Lots of suspense, giant megalodon, and more giant creatures! Unpredictable and exciting! Great narration!

Gets you ready for Vostok and Meg 5

Be prepared with your copies of Vostok and Meg book 5 because this book has an empire strikes back style ending. I bought Vostok after reading The Loch and found out it's both a sequel to The Loch and the Prequel to Meg 5 and have finally made it through the first 4 Meg books. It wasn't a disappointing story at all but you need to ingest it's sequels imeadiately after
