This is the second novel featuring con artist Moist von Lipwig, following where "Going postal" left. As usuall with the sharp humor of Prachett, you will not be dissapointed or bored though this book, it contains a female golem called Gladis, a randy ghost and a dog, chairman of a big bank, with an unusual toy. This is the first audio I head from Prachett's work, and I find the characterization and reading quite good. Please get it.

Going Postal was the first Pratchett book I read/listened to, and having found it laugh out loud funny was keen to listen to the follow-up 'Making Money'. It has not disappointed and I am currently listening to it for a third time. While new to the cast of Pratchett characters, Moist Von Lipwig & Adorabelle Dearheart have quickly become some of my favourites (although they can't displace Vimes or Granny Weatherwax or Sgt Colon or Lord Vetinari...). I just wish Mr Groat & his sulphurous trousers had made a reappearance, however, I digress. Terry Pratchett's way with words is marvellous as are his descriptions of characters & situations. While on the surface he always tells an entertaining, slightly over-the-top story, there is always something deep & meaningful to think about - I love this kind of challenge. The sound quality is excellent as is the narration by Stephen Briggs. Highly recommended - but don't try it if you take yourself too seriously.

From the laconic Ms Dearheart to Gladys the Golem via the incomparable Igor - all the characters are perfectly realised - could any author have been better served by a reader. My first Pratchett... enabled me to face an interminable flight delay with equanimity

It is comforting that human imagination provides for characters such as Moist, Adorabelle and Lord Vetinari when all reality has on offer is Donald Trump.
As always, Sir Terry Pratchett is a wonderful storycreator, and Mr Briggs is an amazing storyteller. Loved every minute!
