Publisher's summary

Sara, now known as Ilythra, the Wanderer of legend, continues north on her quest to find the Siobani, who hold the secrets of the magic stone around her neck.

The stone's magic leads her to help a trader in search of his brother. The hunt takes her into a land in the grip of an alchemical conspiracy. Lord Bredych of Greton has already schemed to control Ilythra's stone once and weaves a web of scent, magic, and manipulation to bring her to him. With Bredych's fragrances intoxicating her and the song of his stone in her ears, Ilythra begins to forget her quest.

The trader catches wind of Ilythra's danger and rushes to her aid. With Ilythra's mind muddled and the forces of an entire nation bent on controlling her stone, it will take an unthinkable act of sacrifice for her to continue her search for the Siobani.

How to kill your main character.

Started well, but after a short while, the main character gets brainwashed, and becomes a moron. I started to skip parts, and I will not continue to read the next book. Sad, because the first book was so much better.

OK sequal

Is there anything you would change about this book?

I would not make the main character so weak. In the first book she was very strong in this book it seems that the strong character becomes uncharacteristically weak

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

The introduction of a new main male character is very nice. He is very lovable and adds depth to the story.

What about Ellen Archer’s performance did you like?

Amazing!!! She is an incredible narrator, I was never lost as to which character was speaking

Did Journey of Dominion inspire you to do anything?

No

Any additional comments?

I think this could have been a better story if the main character's personality had not changed so much. Yes there is a reason the character changes but it seems too drastic and very out of character for her more so than it should have been.
