Publisher's summary

Shax, the demon prince of thieves, has reconciled himself to exile. He has a grand time careening around the galaxy as a high-end, intergalactic purloiner of pretties. Everything's going just fine, thank you very much. All right, fine, the anti-gravity cows are a bit problematic and some of his buyers are bad for his health, but he manages until he comes across an injured angel in a psychedelic alien jungle.

He only rescues the wing boy for his golden feathers, but what Shax doesn't know about angels could fill an intergalactic encyclopedia.

Cute but not enough angst for me

I am just all about the longing in a novella. This is a funny, cute story but I didn't really feel the longing. Also, for all their talk of genitalia there isn't any sex (not that it's a requirement and there probably are sexy times later in the series, just providing what I would find to be helpful information). This really is hilarious. The ship's A.I. is well worth the cost of this book.

Fun and interesting

This is a sweet, Intriguing sci fi story. Not my usual genre, but I enjoyed the humor and the Storyline was moving.
I found the narration smooth, easy to listen to.

Excellent addition

4.5 Stars

I had read the prequel story in this series, so I knew all of the characters already and I have to say after this installment, I want more! I love them all.. Especially the new addition! I want to know where they go from here.

The story is exciting and thrilling... and funny, just like the first one was.

The only down side for me really... was the narrator. And not entirely him, but the empty, bouncing noise of the audiobook that was distracting.

All in all, a great addition and great story.

I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Inked Rainbow Reads.

Fun!

Fun start to the series. I really enjoyed the story. The narration is good, Vance Bastian distinguishes between the characters. Looking forward to listening to book 2.

Shax is my favoritest demon ever

Hell for the Company is a unique take on Angels and Demons, plus I was introduced to a new-to-me narrator I really liked. All kinds of win with this audiobook.

Shax is a great character and probably my most favorite demon ever. The narrator nailed his personality perfectly. He had just the right balance of snark, cockiness and humility.

Needed. to slow this one down

The narration was a bit manic so I had to set it to 85 percent which worked well.
Additionally these stories. are short but cost the same as a story three times as long. While I did enjoy the story it is as if they cut a book into thirds so they could get three times the return. This is at best disappointing and at worst sleazy marketing .

This was a nice surprise for me. I really wasn’t e

If you could sum up Hell for the Company (Brimstone Book 1) in three words, what would they be?

Fun. Sweet, Unexpected

What did you like best about this story?

Everything, the characters, main and secondary, the plot, the funny moments, and most of all the promise of more

What does Vance Bastian bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Well, he was the reason I'd listen to it. I wanted to listen to a book narrated by him and I think I choose it very good, because I'll be reading or listening to the next on the series. I think he have the characters certain charm than I can't think I would find as great just reading the book. I guess I would have to try, but I'm happy with the narration

If you could rename Hell for the Company (Brimstone Book 1), what would you call it?

The flying cows book? hahah, I can't say. The name of the book is fine.

Any additional comments?

This was a nice surprise for me. I really wasn’t expecting to like this book as much as I did. Certainty angels, demons and Science Fiction are not the first thing that comes to my mind when trying to decide what to read next, but there was something about the voice of the narrator that really got my attention and I was willing to go anywhere, and happily I was brought to this great book.

Ness was adorable, I loved everything about him. He was such a beautiful character. Shax was also a great character and he made me laugh so many times. It has been a while since a book puts me in such good mood. The cows were something I loved, there was no way I could see that coming. The other characters were just as good and the plot was also very nice and fun.

The narration was lovely, he had such a sweet voice I can’t get tired of it. And the change of characters were very easy to understand. I really loved it.

The book and narrations were great, I can’t wait to start reading the next on the series.

Can Angel s love demons?

Yes! A devilishly good story of angelic love and antigravity cows in outer space. Fun!
