If you could sum up Grey in three words, what would they be?
Imaginative, revolutionary, original.
What other book might you compare Grey to and why?
It's the first book of it's kind I've listened to. But in terms of vision and innovation I put it up there with Neuromancer, Snowcrash, or Ender's game.
Which scene was your favorite?
I love the opening scene with Michael and Nora on their last date on board of the super-luxury Bee Train. It sets the mood for the rest of the book. If you enjoy the first chapter you'll love the rest of the book. In-fact even the first sentence of the book is a great indicator of where things are going.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Grey had me completely captivated from the opening scene. I had a hard time putting it down. I am listening to it for the second time and once again, I am completely engrossed in it.
Any additional comments?
While I enjoy many books it isn't often that I come up against one that breaks new ground. Grey did that for me. It is set in an amazingly well imagined world that with strong characters that, while completely crazy, are also internally consistent. This book is definitely on my top 10 list of all time best.
