The story was creative and adventurous

What did you like best about this story?

The heroine was sassy and clever. It made the book exciting to hear how the heroine was fallible but able to solve dilemmas with imagination and humor.

Which scene was your favorite?

The last scene where she becomes the person we all knew she could be and helps all those around her she cherishes

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I love her references to the villain. They are funny and add character to the story

Any additional comments?

Loved the book. It was a pleasure to read and an inspiring story especially for young people. I feel it portrays that even the most common of people can become a hero or heroine given the circumstances.

I would like to hear this again. Hearing this book in the author's voice fascinated me. Hearing it brought out parts of the book that I hadn't noticed as much before. It brought the story to life.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Flecks of Gold?

The moment that is the most memorable is when Mary meets the King for the first and second time.

It is a impressive book. A book that is even better after hearing it.

Delightful Sci-Fi Fantasy for teens and older.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Absolutely recommend. This book catches you from the beginning and is a fun and creative read that takes your cares aways as you devourer each page. If you are looking for an easy clean read that you can escape into this is the book for you.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Beon, the hero of the story....ever endearing and kind and chivalrous without taking away from the Mary Margaret's fierce independent nature.

Always keeps your interest

I absolutely love this book- action and adventure with just the right amount of fantasy.

STILL LOVE IT!

I read this book years ago and was delighted by it. The approach to how magic is performed is original and the characters are fun. The humor keeps it easy to just keep going.
When I heard Buck was doing an audio version, I knew I had to hear it. And her voice is perfect for the story. She reads it easily and the story in her voice sucked me right in. I found the audio version so charming I finished it in less than a day, the equivalent of not being able to put it down.
