Fantastic Narration and great writing

First audiobook, first Warhammer 40K book, was fantastic. Listened to it during my commutes to work. The narration was incredible.

perfect performance, excellent story

Emma Gregory is most excellent at this work, able to keep the voices for each character different, even throughout lengthy conversations, between protagonists.

I do hope that Audible has the same narrator do Hammer and Anvil. She worked on Celestine, so there is a chance.

A twisting web of lies

I enjoyed the story and it's interesting story points. Although it was somewhat predictable with few "ah ha" moments. My only real dislike of it has to be of the narrator chosen. While WH40k stories do often lend themselves to a bit of "hamming up" I think this performance was a bit much.

Emma Gregory is Such a Boss.

I’m a sisters player and the writing in this book really hit the spot. The true gem here is the performance of the narrator. She really sold each character to me and was pretty much always on point. Put together with the good writing, this story has easily become one of my favorites.

Ok, then

I expected little from a commissioned book written to give background to a game of miniatures. I was positively surprised.
