Publisher's summary

The end has come. The army of the silent ones is sweeping across the land, annihilating towns and cities, slaughtering all they encounter. In a desperate bid to save the lives of uncounted innocents, the allied forces of elf, dwarf, and human must face these savage and seemingly unstoppable warriors. But the silent ones are unlike any enemy the people of Lumnia have faced before - corrupted and made enormously strong by the vile magic of Shinzan. They do not care who is friend or who is foe. They do not feel fear or pity. And they will never stop. For the silent ones do not fight for victory. They have but one purpose - to bring death to the world.

Though Ethan's power could save many lives should he join in this fight, his path lies elsewhere. The rendezvous with destiny is at hand. He will battle Shinzan one final time. But first he must face the choice he has avoided from the moment he arrived. And that decision will determine the fate of all races...and Lumnia herself.

Amazing

What an ending!!! So much emotions. It had me to the very end that left me with a void inside knowing it had ended. A must read. The narrator has a way of capturing you and never letting go. Read read read !!!!!

Underwhelming

I literally just listened to the last word of this book. It's hard to believe this is the same series. It's not that the book is awful, it's not. The book is ok. But compared to the series as a whole and knowing this is the last book, it doesn't give me the "WOW! What an ending! Its finally over" type of feeling. Instead, it more like "wow. that's it?"

Let me explain. 1st the book is called Dragonvein. Yet we only get 1 short battle and 1 flight scene with a dragon in it. In the finale the Dragon(s) should be going all out. It should be a dragon filled finale. That doesn't happen. 2nd The author did a good job on some of the early battles in the book, but the final battle between our main character and the villain is actually boring. 3rd Playing the psychological games went on too long before the last fight. The first scene was fine but then it was overdone.

I'm out of charter space, so I'll just end with my opinion that this finale doesn't match well with how well the series built up to this point. I feel like the author just wanted to wrap it in a bow and ship it off.

Great ending, but

I prefer a "clean" story line, while this book, in my opinion, did not have this quality. Also I was afraid that the author would, somehow, continue the story. I wasn't going to buy the next book. Thankfully, the author ended the story, albeit, I didn't really enjoy the last chapter and a half, since I was suspicious given the rapid ending.

I truly believe that three books are about my limit, unless the story changes.

Very nice

I enjoyed this light series. Nothing too sephicticated, but very fun. It is strange how.it.goes by so quickly.

Buyer Beware.

Possibly the most anticlimactic ending to any book I've come across.
Might as well stop at book 4! At least the cliff hanger doesn't leave you disappointed.

Meh

Great narrator, rather boring ending to a mediocre series. it's worth reading if you've gotten this far, but I won't recommend this series to others.
