Publisher's summary

Half-human/half-monster Cal Leandros knows that family is a pain. But now that pain belongs to his half-brother, Niko. Niko's shady father is in town, and he needs a big favor. Even worse is the reunion being held by the devious Puck race - including the Leandros' friend, Robin - featuring a lottery that no Puck wants to win. As Cal tries to keep both Niko and Robin from paying the ultimate price for their kin, a horrific reminder from Cal's own past arrives to remind him that blood is thicker than water - and that's why it's so much more fun to spill.

Purely escapist read

I love this series and the narrator is perfect. Just how I imagine most of the voices sounding. Fits the tone of the books so well!

Stunning performances for a stunning book.

Read this book a thousand times. Listening to it is a brand new, very exciting experience. Love the narrator's take on the sassy, snarky Cal. Beautifully done-and I've read the book myself a billion times before getting this audiobook. Will get other Cal audiobooks.

fun story

ok, this isn't cerebral literature, but it's a good story that is fun to read or even just listen to.

Great characters!

I was really impressed with the addition of Grim (or is it Grimm?). A great look at what could have been if Cal had been raised differently. Can't wait to see what else he has in store for Cal and their game!

Grim

New bad guy = awsome fun, throw in family reunions and it almost enough to make you run for the door of the ninth Circle. This is one of my favorites in the series and totally worth it.
