Publisher's Summary

Just as good in German as in English.

Would you consider the audio edition of Der Weitseher (Die Weitseher-Trilogie 1) to be better than the print version?

As I have not been reading German for long I find it easier to follow when both listening and reading together. When just reading the temptation is to look up every word one does not know, but when listening as well the flow carries you through and encourages you to get meaning from context instead. I have noticed significant improvement in my listening comprehension along the way and can now listen and understand without the book alongside.

Have you listened to any of Matthias Lühn’s other performances? How does this one compare?

No I haven't and I'm not particularly keen to do so as I don't like the voices he creates for the characters. I prefer a more neutral performance. His voice is good and clear and pleasant, but the character voices grate on one's nerves. It doesn't entirely spoil the book but reduces one's enjoyment of it somewhat.
