This is the best In the series thus far. The story was detailed with great insight into the Charles's past. I usually multitask when listening to a book, but this one reeled me in so often I would find myself just listening. Worth the credit and more.

I always enjoy Patricia Briggs' book and I normally like Holter Graham's narration. Unfortunately he slightly changed the voice for Charles in this book and it was a disappointing change. Hopefully he will revert back to the way he initially performed Charles' voice for the next book in this series.

The reader is the same for this title as for the other three in the series, and while I don't like him as much as the reader of the Mercy novels, he's been ok. But for some bizarre reason, in this book he's read the entire thing like he's trying to pitch his voice an octave below where it belongs. "Gravelly" and "breathy" don't begin to cover it. It's like he's auditioning for a satire of batman. It would be annoying enough on its own, but after three books hearing the characters speak in a different way, suddenly changing their voices is SO annoying. Boo.

I loved this book
I love all Patricia Briggs books but this one developed Charles character more.
I would recommend it to anyone
love the way Anna and Charles work out their problems and tackle the bad guys in Patrica Briggs books. I have already started to lisyen and read the next one
I did a tour around Europe, during the long bus rides I listened to this and then when I got to Rome I couldn't stop listening, so I did the tourist thing while listening to this. I missed a toga party so I could finish off the story.
