Publisher's Summary

The road to Hell is paved with good intentions. So is the road to Washington, D.C. The adventures of Starlet and Eric continue. The Topplers are toppling the giant wall surrounding the country. The Invaders are well on their way to invading the White House, and thus saving the country, and humanity, from a malicious alien race. All goes well in the beginning, however, in the new world not everyone is who they seem. Will the Topplers topple? Will Eric and Carlton make it to D.C. alive? The answers are here.

More madness!

Having been left on a cliff-hanger at the end of part one I was pretty excited to get back to the story and I haven't been disappointed.

There is more manic doings and silliness to enjoy and the plot speeds along nicely.

I very much enjoyed the emphasis on Starlet, who is definitely my favourite character.

This is very crude and occasionally gross, which is not normally my kind of thing but I really enjoy these books. They sort of remind me of the english comic sci-fi writer Robert Rankin.

I will definitly keep an eye out for future sci-fi from Marc Richard.

David Dear was perfect again and definitely a narrator I want to hear more of.

My biggest criticism is the same as I had with the first part, because one novel is published in three parts it costs 3 credits in total, and that as enjoyable as they are 3 credits for one book seems excessive.

I received a free copy of this audiobook from the author, narrator or publisher in exchange for an unbiased review. I was NOT required to write a positive review and this reflects my honest opinion of the work.

Even more hilarious than the first one

Would you listen to Dave! Part 2: D.C. again? Why?

Absolutely! The narrator did such an awesome job!

What other book might you compare Dave! Part 2: D.C. to and why?

I don't think I've ever read anything I can compare this to, it's unique and it is great!

Which scene was your favorite?

"We are holding her for murder, also, her dog stole my penis!"

Any additional comments?

"If this were a book, nobody would believe it."

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I just loved this book, just as I did it's predecessor, Dave: the Invaders.
In Dave 2, DC, we follow Eric (and friends) on his journey to overthrow Mel Gibson in the White House and girlfriend, Starlet, in her quest to help pull down the wall. Oh, and Bella, a very affectionate dog.
Superbly narrated, David S.Deer's fast speaking but lugubrious (!) reading style glissades through high and low tones, effortlessly coating everything with a treacle wave of warm humorous sound, so perfectly suited to the writing, and his often laconic conversational voices are spot on. Not always distinguishable one from another? Doesn't matter in the s!ightest.
Dave 2 is unconventional, irreverently rude, non politically correct, a little bit mad and laugh out loud funny. So many throwaway one liners and.bizarre situations ... If you are easily shocked, do not get this book. But for everyone who enjoys a bit of the.crazy, this is certainly one for you. Highly recommended.
