Good solid Sci-Fi

I have read/listened to all in this series and "Colony ship Conestoga" series and this is the best yet. The plot is deeper than in previous books (no spoilers) the characters develop, and the science is believable.I particularly like the descriptions of the wildlife they encounter and trying to guess what they are before there named.
Good solid sci-fi.
Narration is excellent and Jeanette Howard brings life to the characters.
