This has been one heck of a ride, and I have to say that even though they finished the series up with this book they didn't leave any plotlines dangling or cliffhanger you. This is a complete tale, which is both satisfying and sad. The series has been simply stellar, to a point that I think it would have gone Nova if there had been another book. The writers nd the narrator really came together to craft an intense story that you will long remember after you finish it
Hempel really had managed to embody Shale, I mean he WAS the character at then end. That is some staunch voice acting there, and I think he may have actually stolen the character from the writers at the end.
The cover to this book outshines the other two, it is a real honest to God work of art, and I would be glad to have that hanging on my wall. You can't look at it and not have your imagination get set afire by what is happening, and the need to know will pull you in quickly.
I must say that this is one of the most satisfying conclusions I have read for a series in quite some time. The whole series built up to the finale, and and you will be waiting for it to come. I really prefer trilogies to open ended series, and this is one snickers that satisfied from start to finish. It does sadden me that I won't be getting anything new from Shale and company, but I can always go back and restart the adventure again.
Seriously, don't miss out on this incredible journey. It is well worth your time, and you will never regret meeting Max/Shale in the slightest. Even though I did receive a promo code for this review it in no way influenced my considerations of the material, and in fact, inspired me to be more honest. In fact, getting a code generally makes me harsher as a reviewer as I am more often concerned what someone like Me will decide based on my review.

Cipriano and Garner bring the story home in part 3. Max, Kayla and the gang are joined by some unlikely new friends in the last leg of the journey. But other guilds are closing in and some obstacles could keep Max and his team from winning the big prize, while at the same time, the filters are loosening up more and Max and Kayla are able to talk more freely about their real lives as they begin falling in love.
Joe Hempel returns with the great voices he has done in this series, adding some new ones to the mix. Some of my favorites are the odd characters within the game with odd clicks and whirls to their accents. Top notch!
I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
