i liked the first book, second one a bit less

Any additional comments?

The story is not bad, but also far from great. My mind kept wandering off because the voice of the narrator was not really grabbing my attention. I liked the first story more then this one and would recomend it as a stand alone book, if you really loved the first one you might give this one a try, but for me this series ends here.

Great second book

In the second novel of the Code Breakers series, Gerry and Petal discover their origins while working to stop another apocalypse.

This novel was a lot better than the first novel...all the mysteries are answered and things start to make more sense. Two new enemies are introduced, a lot of back story is expanded, and another set of good guys with several strong characters are added too.

I really enjoyed the exploration of Petal's origins and family, and the reveals of what caused the cataclysm. The book had a lot of exploration of what can happen when technology goes too far, and what it means to be human.

The narrator continued to do a great job and I never heard any misses, wrong voices, etc.

Overall, a great second book and I'm looking forward to reading the next.

NOTE: I received this for free in exchange for an honest review.
