Publisher's summary

Ptah, a versatile and highly confident martial artist, has been the welterweight champion of his division for the past five years. His prowess in the ring is near legendary, and he is popularly known as Ptah the Wizard. As a member of the Dogon clan, Ptah's family has been instrumental in establishing the multimillion dollar earnings for fighters that truly proved themselves in the arena.

But lying just below the competitive struggles in the arena is a universal struggle of good vs. evil, of revenge and deception, of mysticism and history, and of the ultimate test to achieve mastership in one's life.

Ptah's confrontation with the ancient beauty and brilliance of Capoeira is the ultimate test to discover the true master in himself.

Great audible.!

This was a good listen a long. Honestly the simplicity of the book brings in a good story and good moral behind the story. Forget the martial arts or capoeira, the story is much deeper and a reminder of our history of African descendants.

Great!

Captivating story . . Background sounds and music were perfect embellishments. Narrator, Lucas Smith, was absolutely awesome. I loved everything about this book.

Good Story

It was a good listen. Some parts are over detailed and seem redundant, and some of the reading is done slightly awkwardly, but it's a good story. Not what I was expecting, but worth the listen regardless.

what a wonderful story

I enjoy learning more about masters and how they work to succeed. this book opened my mind to a new kind of science fiction.

Interesting story in parts but very boring overall

some scenes were good. Dogon stuff weird and dull.
good use of music. Presenter's voice ok. did well with accents.
fight scenes lacking in flair and description. will tell more on my show.
good audio book for nap time.

I’m disappointed by this book

I was looking for a African/Black fantasy book that incorporates martial arts to help with my impatience as I wait for the 3rd book in the Rage of Dragons series. However, I didn’t find this book enjoyable. It has potential, but it presents more as a second hand account than a story that can be visualized and you can actively connected to.
