Publisher's Summary

Welcome to the final, heart-pounding episode of the Scrapyard Ship series. It's all about to end in one climatic crescendo.
The story continues with Captain Jason Reynolds and his team: Billy, Rizzo, and the rhino-warrior, Traveler. They must attempt to rescue Ricket and Gaddy, still held captive aboard the impregnable Dreathlor prison barge. Only after the rescue can Jason return to the Lilly, his highly advanced Caldurian vessel...where it all began.
The elusive Admiral Ot-Mul, leader of the Craing Drac-Vin forces, has not only survived, but thrived in the far outer-reaches of space. With hundreds of thousands of warships under his command, Ot-Mul's combined fleets are on the move. But, in truth, he cares about little else than making one man suffer...Captain Jason Reynolds.
With an enormous fighting force on the horizon, it's the last call to battle. Will the decimated Allied worlds reunite one more time? Will Ot-Mul get his vengeance by taking those most dear to Jason - Mollie, Boomer, Nan, and Dira - and using them to rip Jason's world and his very existence apart?

Fun and entertaining read

Far fetched but it was a fun series and I liked the characters. I thought the narrator was outstanding. There were a lot of characters and he did voices extremely well but also remarkably consistent. Always knew which character and this made it a very easy listen.

"That's how it's going to be!" sayeth the tired of the body and spirit, young hero. He makes no bones about it. He's used his all in the on going war with the Craing and seems bemused that the Alliance has won. He's lost so many friends, he's numb. His enemy, Cmdr Ot-Mul had planned to have Captain Jason as the entree with his crew being the balance of the feast. His crew worries for him while his ex and new love can't believe what his choices to do now, are. Does anyone besides me feel like all the finishes aren't really finished? The way to these decisions has certainly been exciting and fraught with danger and lots of action and L. J. Ganser has delivered all as though he's right there, explaining the under currents, the new science of mightier weapons and faster space ships, and against his choices, playing ambassador and politician. It's definately gotten a whole lot tenser on the bridge! This is the end?!
