Publisher's Summary

After 27 years as a newspaper man, Peter Anderson's career is slipping away, at least it was, until he stumbled upon the story of a lifetime. Sent to do a fluff piece about lights in the night sky over Arizona, he discovers far more than he ever expected when he comes across a mysterious young woman held prisoner in a basement. After helping her to escape, she disappears before he can learn the truth about who she is or where she came from. His search for her leads him back to the lights in the sky and leaves him with more questions than answers. The only thing he knows for certain...the only thing he can count on are the two words offered repeatedly by his friend and guide: "is belt."

Cliche story, bunch of loose ends.

I received a free copy of this book from the author / narrator / publisher in exchange for an unbiased review.

The story is choke full of cliche' setup. Similar to any other mediocre alien abduction story, all the usual tropes are present here. The book doesn't offer anything new. I never had my interest piqued and read the entire book indifferently. And then suddenly the book ended very abruptly. There are several loose ends left untied and the biggest mystery of the book is left unresolved. I sorta hate this kind of "left to reader's imagination" endings.

A fun listen!

This book wasn't what I was expecting at all! I thought it would be the typical alien invasion story. This book was so much more than that! There was never a dull moment in this book, and it was quite humorous at times. I couldn't help laughing out loud several times at Bob. Bob isn't even the main character of this book, but he's hilarious! Bob also has a lot of cousins lol. You'll understand when you listen. I really enjoyed Bob and hope to see Tegon Maus write a sequel to the story. This was just too good not to continue! Excellent narration by Jonathan Cook. His Russian accent was great. If you like sci-fi or just need a good book to give you some laughs, you'll love Bob!
